Queer Asia Short Film Section 2
本屆2021第八屆台灣國際酷兒影展帶來的「亞洲酷兒短片二」單元共有四部作品，分別為：《坦誠度假時》、《禁錮 》、《Henna的秘密》、《激震過後》
在熟悉的日本與韓國的風景之間看見不同的景色，在文化迥異的巴基斯坦的影像當中，看見相似的人性。
Queer Asia Short Film Section 2 features four short films from across Asia, including Solid (2020) by Japanese director Iwasa Hiroki, about two guys getting interrupted by earthquakes during sex. Journey to the Shore (2020), won the 2021 Asian Pacific Short Film Competition at Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival, about a couple celebrating their anniversary but only to find out there is a hidden secret about to be unveiled. Between Us (2020), an intimate portrayal of a transgender man's struggle in a rural Japanese town. Kiran (2021) is an appealing medication using the craftwork of henna to protract the two same-sex love in Pakistan.
《坦誠度假時》Journey to the Shore

兩個高中生閔何和三寶(sanbeom)是一對同性戀人。為慶祝他們的交往一百天紀念日，兩人前往海邊旅行。閔何即使在公眾場合也對三寶大方表示愛意，並不如何在意旁人怎麼看；相對地三寶卻總是為此感到不自在。那晚，三寶向閔何坦白了一個秘密⋯⋯
Minha and Sanbeom are gay couples in high school. They go on a journey to the shore for their 100th day anniversary. Minha does not care what other people think and exhibits his affection towards Sangbeom in public. On the other hand, Sangbeom feels uneasy about this. That night, Sangbeom tells Minha a secret.

一個跨性別男為了幫助小鎮當地的溫泉老板一臂之力，放棄了自己的一個面試機會，也在生涯中首度獲得了進入「男性」這一方領地的入場票。而令他始料未及的是他的搭檔，實際上則是屬於「另外一方」。這樣的兩人，還究竟能不能為他們待的這個日本小鎮所容下？
When a transgender man abandons his job interview to help a local hot spring owner, he is invited to enter the men’s side for the first time. Little does he know, his partner sits on the opposite side, leading to a reckoning about whether the couple can ever truly belong in this rural Japanese town.

《Henna的秘密》Kiran

基蘭將象徵祝福的曼陀羅和佩斯利紋畫在一位準新娘的手掌上，並找到了一個可以藏身的空隙。想到自己所處的文化中，人根本沒辦法好好顧慮自身的處境，更遑論要質疑它，使她心中百感交集。她很清楚自己無力改變任何事，只能將微不足道的自我，逕自往空隙填去。
In between the mandalas and paisleys on the lines and pores of the bride-to-be’s palms, a Mehndi applicator finds a space for herself. Belonging to a culture where there is no room to even think about one’s identity, let alone question it, Kiran faces a wave of emotions. She knows nothing can be changed drastically in her life and small unnoticeable footprints are all that she leaves.

《激震過後》Solid

故事講述想要做愛，卻一再被地震給打斷的兩個人⋯⋯今夜註定無法入眠的他們，於是開始分享起了各自對地震的記憶。
Two guys are trying to have sex, but the earthquakes keep coming back, interfering with their intimate moment. Too scared to fall asleep, they stay up all night to share their earthquake memories.
